This is the first time we are doing this type of Make and Take event and we are sure it will be lots of fun, as well as informative and inspirational. The Make and Take event will take place in store and is a two part event. One part is the construction of the Eileen Hull Sizzix Passport Book, the other part is the mixed media decoration of the cover and spine of the Passport Book using a variety of techniques. The whole process will take about an hour and half to two hours, as the inside pages is the part you complete on your own with your unique content, or give to someone as a gift. To guarantee a space on the Make and Take Workshop we recommend that you book online or in store, however additional spaces may be available on the day. The construction element of the Make & Take will be taken by Lorraine Robertson and June Storrie. This part takes about an hour. The decoration of the cover takes place with Karen Eaglesham, using some of the colouring and embellishing techniques of the mixed media designer, Finnabair. It may be that you do the construction element first followed by the decoration or vice versa. We will co-ordinate this to ensure you complete the Workshop in the two hours. If you are in-store on the day and would like to participate once you see what people are making then we have made provision to accommodate additional places. If you just wish to watch the make and take event as a demo day, then that is fine, you can always change your mind on the day and join in, spaces permitting. The cost of the Make and Take including all materials is only £5. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits will be available all day.
